The city: Torrevieja
Torrevieja is a city in the province of Alicante. The city has a coastline of about twenty kilometers, with many white sandy beaches and cliffs. You can enjoy Torrevieja's pleasant beach all year round. The World Health Organization has even named the climate on the Costa Blanca as one of the best in the world: the average year-round temperature there is 21 ºC. The area has a short, mild winter, and summers are not as hot as in other parts of Spain. Moreover, it rains only about 35 days a year on average!
Besides the promenade, various shopping centers and the lovely beach, Torrevieja also has very beautiful buildings to admire (like the Cultural Society Casino of Torrevieja, for example) and various parks and playgrounds!
Salt lakes & museum
Torrevieja is known for its beautiful salt lakes, which color pink! The Salinas Nature Reserve is definitely worth a visit! If you want to learn more about the famous salt, you can also visit the museum 'Muzeo del Mar y de la Sal'.
Waterparks
Feel like cooling off, but not at the beach? Torrevieja has 2 water parks where you can have fun with the whole family! In high season you can enjoy the fast slides or a splash in the pool!
The largest market in the area
The largest market in the area is every Friday in Torrevieja: From 08:00-14:00 you can stroll around the market with an extensive offer of no less than 1200 stalls!
Breakfast at Ina Expresso
Our personal favorite: Ina Expresso! You can have a delicious breakfast with good coffee and a fresh juice here for friendly prices. The choice is plenty: they have smoothie bowls, pancakes, topped bagels and more! Fancy something sweet? They also have fantastic pastries!
They also have gluten-free, lactose-free and sugar-free options.
The beaches of Torrevieja
Torrevieja has several beaches, which are easily accessible. There are stretches of beach with shallow water ( great for small children), and also wheelchair-friendly spots. There are opportunities to rent water scooters, pedal boats, etc., and also outside the center of Torrevieja there are many beaches that are very suitable for the whole family to enjoy the sun and the sea!
At 800 meters walking distance from Casa de Luz you already reach the first beaches: Perfect!
Faro Torrevieja
Want to take a walk and get some fresh air? Torrevieja has a 1,400-meter pier where you can stroll to the lighthouse while enjoying the waves and the sun.
A must during your visit to Spain: Churros
Get your portion of churros in Torrevieja! There are several stands in high season, but throughout the year you can go to the famous "Chocolatería Valor", which overlooks the Plaza de la Constitution. Choose your chocolate sauce and enjoy.

There are several cycling and walking routes,to see more of the beautiful surroundings!

Lo Rufete - Adventure Park
Just 17 km from Casa de Luz, you can go to "The Adventure Park: Lo Rufete" for a variety of outdoor activities!
You can go horseback riding, quad bike tours, ziplining, kayaking, miniature golf and paintballing, among others. There are also trampolines and air castles! Conclusion: Enough entertainment for everyone!

Wij zijn Jesse en Tia, jullie hosts! Samen met onze twee prachtige kids wonen wij in het noorden van Nederland. Hier hebben we ondertussen een fijne (thuis)basis opgebouwd! Sinds september 2023 zijn wij de trotse eigenaren van een prachtig appartement in Torrevieja: Casa de Luz!
Bij Tia staat hospitality al jaren hoog in het vaandel en heeft met veel plezier gewerkt in diverse horeca bedrijven. In combinatie met onze gezamenlijke interesse in vastgoed hebben we de stap genomen om een appartement aan te schaffen om gasten een heerlijk verblijf te bieden in het zonnige Spanje!

We hebben een fijn en goed verblijf gehad in Casa De Luz. Goed contact met de eigenaresse, keyholder en voor de rit terug naar de airport hadden we goed contact met de taxi persoon. Een netjes en schoon appartement.
Location was great, all what we needed was really close to the apartment. Only less than 10min to the beach, Mercadona two blocks away. The apartment was really clean and there was parking included.
A very clean, well equipped apartment, with free garage parking. It is very close to bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Also ,not too far from the lovely beach. The double bed was very comfy and the small balcony was ideal to sit out with a cuppa.

Een verrassing geregeld voor mijn vriendinnen. Voor het eerst zelf iets geboekt, maar met de hulp, tips en bereikbaarheid van Tia durfde ik dat wel aan.

Heerlijk huiselijk appartement midden in het centrum. Goede uitvalsbasis voor leuke uitstapjes naar steden en leuke plaatsen in de buurt.

Alles aanwezig voor een prettige vakantie! Communicatie met Tia verliep heel vlot, zij reageerde snel! Niet twijfelen, gewoon boeken! Wij komen iig graag een keer terug 😁
Keurig appartement, schoon en alles aanwezig wat er aanwezig hoort te zijn.
Grote plus, eigen parkeerplaats onder het appartement.
Heerlijke badkamer, goed bed.
Avondwinkel op de hoek met heerlijke verse broodjes voor het ontbijt.
Grote supermarkt om de hoek.
Prachtige boulevard echt op loopafstand waar het goed vertoeven is.
Ruim appartement, goede bedden en prachtige badkamer!
We zijn zeer tevreden. Het contact met de verhuurder verliep heel soepel. Ze denkt enorm mee en is behulpzaam. De foto’s komen volledig overeen met de werkelijkheid. De locatie is top, voorzieningen op loopafstand net als de zee.
Wij komen hier zeker weer terug!
Wij mochten als eerste in dit appartement verblijven. We voelden ons meteen thuis, gezellig ingericht, goede locatie, geweldige stad. Ik ga zeker nog een keertje terug.
